Job Description

The Climate Institute is seeking a highly-qualified, motivated, dependable, and organized Energy and Economics Research Intern available to begin work immediately. Candidates should be available to work part-time throughout the summer, whether in-office or remotely.

The intern will help to identify and establish a rigorous method for estimating the macroeconomic impacts of energy investments in Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and will provide comprehensive research support for a suite of reports that will be received and reviewed internationally this fall. This is an unpaid internship.

 

Qualifications 

  • Undergraduate degree in Economics; Graduate degree complete or underway preferred
  • Excellent research and econometric skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Policy analysis experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of small team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines on a consistent basis
